Paul Speer – Sonoran Odyssey – A New Favorite!

Yesterday I spent time reviewing the latest Zone Music Reporter Radio Play Top 100. It’s a chart for New Age Music. The title of the album at number 48 was Sonoran Odyssey by Paul Speer. The title was interesting for a couple of reasons first my wind raced from Sonoran Odyssey to Sonora‘s Death Row by Robert Earl Kean. So last week while I was reading Richard Laymon’s No Sanctuary I was also listening to Encantado  the latest album from flamenco guitarist Jim Stubblefield. I stumbled on Stubbefield’s music on a trip a few years ago to the Princeton Record Exchange. On that trip I bought his 2007 release Inspiracion and really liked it.
